With change comes new beginnings. As our name changed, we thought it would be best to follow suit and also change the name of our growing podcast. Muni-muni translates to pondering and/or reflecting in Tagalog. This is exactly what we want to promote on our platform. We are here to make individuals feel safe, included and comforted. There continues to be barriers when talking about specific topics, especially in Filipino culture. We welcome these conversations as we want a safe space for everyone. We firmly believe that vulnerable and open discussions nurture a more inviting environment.
The Culture
As cultural group, it is our duty to share our Filipino pride through dance, food, art, language and pop culture. We aim to provide opportunities for the TMU Fil-Can community to reconnect with their roots. Below are a few events FilMet has hosted and implemented to celebrate the Filipino culture.
Solidarity Fundraiser
A powerful moment in time when everyone came together to raise money for three grassroots organizations in the Philippines: Sagip Migrante, Tulong Kabataan and the Student Christian Movement.
Tagalog Workshop
All the way from the Philippines, Tito Warren taught participants introductory Tagalog by teaching vocabulary and grammar.
Cultural Team Blogs
Every month, the Cultural Team takes over. They will share stories, events, and fun facts about the Filipino culture online.
Isang Minuto

Muni Muni Podcast
